Activities Around Pirate's Haven
Southwestern Newfoundland has much to offer visitors. Check out some of these other attractions while visiting Pirate's Haven.
Being located along the south west coast of Newfoundland brings the beautiful beachy views of Bay St. George South. Our area boasts many trails and roads to and along the Atlantic ocean. Walk amongst the wildflowers, smell the ocean breezes, munch on the berries and comb the beaches for seaglass, driftwood, shells and other treasures.
We have multiple local rivers to explore with your rod. Grab your flies and fishing vest and try your luck at the salmon. Some amazing fish have come out of our rivers, enjoying the tranquility of the sport. We have anglers available to take you and teach you if you wish.
In true Newfoundland fashion we cool off with a dip in a brook or river. We have lots of local natural swimming holes to enjoy. Put on your goggles, watch the fish swim below and see the different colors of the rocks as the sun hits reflects the water.
We have an on site volleyball court ready to use. Have a fun game of volleyball with your friends and fellow campers. With the floor of the court being all sand you get the beach volleyball feeling.

From towering Sea stacks, to flower covered meadows our area boasts natural beauty. Take a walk, drive, ATV ride around and see what our little piece of paradise has to offer. We also have here at the campground, a 4 story building we like to call the crows nest. Walk on up to the top to see amazing views of our community and campgrounds. Also don’t forget to take a coin out of the pirates treasure chest up there. Reminder: Don’t forget that camera!
Grab a buddy or 2 and compete for bragging rights as the horseshoe champion, located right on site.
Around the park you may come across a special little something or 2. Children and adults love to paint rocks and hide them around the park. Paint some yourself and poke them around for others to find and enjoy.
