We’ve got big news that we’ve been waiting to share with you. Theatre Newfoundland Labrador is proud to announce our new senior leadership team!
Cow Head resident and TNL veteran Denise Dolliver is our new General Manager. Denise has worked for TNL for 24 seasons as a designer, stage manager, production manager, company manager, and administrator. In Denise’s words: “I love Newfoundland, I love the Gros Morne region and its people, I love working in the arts, and I love this company. TNL and the Nurse Myra Bennett Centre for the Performing Arts have so much to offer to our communities and to our visitors. I look forward to partnering with Nicholas Leno to realize our full potential!”
But wait – there’s more!
After a competitive search last fall, we are excited to announce that Nicholas Leno is our incoming Artistic Producer. Nicholas comes to us from Ottawa Ontario where he was the Artistic Director of a Company of Fools and the Festival Director of the Fresh Meat Festival. “TNL has built an incredible facility here in Cow Head. There’s so much potential and I can’t wait to get started,” Nicholas said. “I look forward to building relationships with all of the artists, patrons, and supporters of TNL over the coming weeks.”
TNL chair Pamela gill has this to say: “Denis and Nicholas have hit the ground running and with the help of the outgoing interim artistic producer Pam Halstead, have the 2024 season planning well underway. On behalf of the board, I am so very thankful for everything Pam has done for us over the last year. She was critical to our strategic planning process and has helped us understand what it is to run not just a company, but a full-on building. We wish her well as she takes on new endeavours. And we’re stoked about our new team!”
Stay tuned for our season launch in the coming weeks!
