Director

Jerry has been a professional actor/director/artistic director and acting teacher for 40 years. He has worked in theatre companies across Canada including Vancouver’s Arts Club, Edmonton’s Fringe Festival, Calgary’s Shakespeare in the Park, Saskatoon’s Persephone, Winnipeg’s Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, London’s Grand, the Saint John Theatre Company, Neptune in Halifax, Ship’s Company in Parrsboro, Watermark in P.E.I. and four seasons in leading roles at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, where he received the Tyrone Guthrie Award. Jerry was Artistic Director at The Atlantic Theatre Festival in Wolfville, Nova Scotia from 1999 – 2004. He was a part of The Stephenville Festival company in the 1980’s and Rising Tide’s Trinity Festival in the 1990’s. He was Artistic Director of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador (TNL) from 1991 – 1997 and he was founding Artistic Director of the Gros Morne Theatre Festival. Jerry is currently teaching in the Theatre Program at Grenfell Campus of Memorial University in Corner Brook.
